Annual Bookfair at St Albans Town Hall

Our annual Bookfair has become an established event in the St Albans calendar. The Bookfair offers literally thousands of new books at greatly reduced prices, usually at least 50% off. Although most subject areas are well represented, we usually have a particularly good range of children's, art and craft, history, military, transport, fiction titles and stationery.

The Bookfair takes place at St Albans Town Hall, which was built between 1829 and 1831 and still houses its original courtroom and cells.

The Town Hall is prominently situated at the southern end of St Peters Street in St Albans' principal shopping area. The building has recently benefitted from major refurbishment. It houses the Tourist Information Centre, has a venue run by St Albans Arts and will soon have a new cafe.

The 2007 Bookfair will be open 7 days a week and will run from 24th November until Christmas.
